FROM THE FIRST CONVERSATION TO HANDOVER
You know where we stand.
And what comes next.
We lead the work through seven steps, adapted to your assignment. At any point, it should be clear what we have done, what still needs to be resolved and who needs to make the next decision.
01Understand the assignment
First, we listen to what you want to achieve and what you have already done.
Together, we review the information, documentation, people and existing commitments. We clarify what we can start immediately and what needs to be checked or resolved first.
In your business
We review your local company, available people, relationship with headquarters and upcoming work.
On your project
We review your project's technical and contractual basis, deadlines, participants and outstanding decisions.
A shared understanding of the starting point, objective and preparation required.
02Agree our role
We clarify what we will do, what you will do and what we expect from others.
We agree scope, deadlines, authority and responsibilities. It is equally important to establish in advance how we will verify that we have delivered the work you entrusted to us.
In your business
We take on the agreed part of establishing your company, building the local team or leading the initial operations.
On your project
Together, we define the specialist package or project phase we will lead and the criteria for its handover.
Agreed work, an expected outcome and clear arrangements for working together.
03Assemble the team
We select people for the work ahead.
We identify who from 3N will lead the work and who will work alongside them. We bring in additional specialists through the 3N Expert Network, and larger teams, equipment and support through partner companies and institutions.
In your business
We select management and key specialists for your local organisation, and involve business partners and specialist advisers to match the agreed scope.
On your project
We select specialists for the disciplines your project requires, project management, technical reviews and contract-related work.
You know who is involved, when they are available and what they are responsible for.
04Set up the way we work
Everyone needs to know who decides and whom to contact when an issue arises.
We agree authority, information sharing and reporting. We establish which issues our team resolves, when to involve you and how to make decisions that cannot wait.
In your business
We establish the relationship between your headquarters and local management, allocate authority and set up oversight of the initial business development.
On your project
We define how to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, contracts and the interfaces between parts of your project.
Clear arrangements for decisions, communication and following through on commitments.
05Lead the work
We put the agreement into practice through day-to-day work.
We coordinate people, monitor progress and resolve outstanding issues. If work deviates from the plan, we establish the cause, consequences and necessary action. We regularly review progress and upcoming decisions with you.
In your business
We launch your local team's operations, bring in partners and introduce the agreed procedures.
On your project
We lead our agreed project tasks and coordinate them with the work of the other participants.
A clear view of completed work, deviations from the plan and the next tasks.
06Verify the outcome
Before handover, we check that we have fulfilled the agreement.
We review the completed work and documentation against the criteria established at the outset. Where corrections or additions are needed, we agree who will make them and by when.
In your business
We check whether your local team can make the necessary decisions and independently manage the agreed activities.
On your project
We verify compliance with your project's technical and contractual requirements and assess readiness for handover or the next phase.
A record of fulfilled obligations, required corrections and conditions for handover.
07Hand over the work
The people taking the work forward need everything required to do so.
We hand over the agreed outcome, documentation, knowledge and contacts. We record outstanding issues and who will take them forward. If you need us for the next phase, we agree a new engagement for that work.
In your business
We hand over the established organisation and routine responsibilities to your permanent local management.
On your project
We hand over the completed package or phase, together with its technical and contractual documentation.
The outcome and documentation handed over, with agreed responsibilities for continuing the work.
